Nutritional Deficiencies

Home > Frogs > Diseases

Nutritional deficiencies are likely if your frog seems to have weak hind legs. The lack of proper vitamins and nutrients will not give it the strength it needs to jump and move around like it could if it was healthy.

If your frog appears to be skinnier than it should be this may also be a sign of a deficiency in its nutrition. If your frogs skin seems to be abnormally light or dark this could also be a sign of something lacking in their diet.

In order to counteract the nutritional deficiency ensure that your frog has a varied diet. Follow the information that is given in our care sheets for frogs when selecting a diet for your pet frog. You can also dust its food with multi-vitamin and mineral supplements. Dusting the food with a supplement will help significantly in avoiding this disease.
