Tonkinese cats are born after
breeding a Himalayan cat with a Siamese cat which has only
occured in recent years. The Tonkinese breed of cat is actually
very strong although that can be hard to tell by looking at
it. This muscle adds a great deal of weight to the cat which
again can be deceiving at first glance. These muscles assist
a great deal in jumping so do not be surprised if you see
this cat on top of various pieces of furniure throughout the
house.
The color scheme of a Tonkinese cat is very similar to that
of a Siamese. Their physical appearance though is all that
they share in common with the Siamese. Their temperament is
much different in the sense that they do not demand attention
to the same degree that the average Siamese
does.
