The Norwegian Forest Cat has
long thick fur which helps it withstand the frigid temperatures
of northern Europe. Their bushy tail also helps keep them
warm in these conditions. They are much larger than the average
cat with a weight of up to 22 pounds for male Norwegian Forest
Cats.
These cats enjoy being outside playing around. When outdoors
it is not uncommon to find them climbing trees to get a better
view of their surroundings. Indoors they will do the same
by climbing on tables and cabinets when possible. Although
not incredibly affectionate they do greatly enjoy the presence
of humans.
