The American Bobtails most distinctive
feature is its small tail in comparison to many other breeds
of cats. They tend to be short and stalky in appearance and
their coat of fur almost resembles shag carpet in texture
and feel. It is not very often that you will find an American
Bobtail as they are quite rare.
Over the years the American Bobtail has been bred in a variety
of color combinations. Originally only longhair versions of
the American Bobtail existed however shorthair versions have
started to appear over the last few years.
